Due to the lack of info on the web about installing a double din radio into a Pontiac G6 I decided to share an install I was involved with about two weeks ago. Basically, installing a double din in the Pontiac G6 with the Information Center in the dash can be done. Although, you will have to relocate the info  center to the center console armrest location.

Once you relocate the information center to the center console armrest, you will have the room to fit your new stereo. And as you can see we ended up with a nice fit and finish here. You won't want to tackle this kind of an installation unless you know what you are doing. You could end up
causing yourself a ton of problems during the relocation process. It is recommended that you consult a professional car audio shop for this job. Once you get there just show them the picture below and they will be able to take it from there:

Once we had the double din installed it was on to replacing the factory amplifier. Here we used a Kenwood KAC M3004 marine amplifier, because of its small footprint, that will supply up to 600 watts to the speaker channels. A nice upgrade now that there is a new aftermarket radio in the dash to connect an amplifier to. We installed the amplifier at the factory amplifier location. Just pulled out the factory one and slapped in the new one. Nice fit as you can see here:
